Love this take...

on the power of ten.

Stephanie wrote in and offered this awesome suggestion to turn "picking up" into a fun game for the kiddos. She said:

"One thing I do with my kids when their room is out of control is give them fun tasks like "Pick up 5 things that are red" or "Pick up 7 things that have sleeves" or "2 things with ears" etc. (I don't necessarily look at their stuff to come up with these tasks, I just randomly pull them outta my head) It gets it done, and they have fun doing it."

Love it.

Such a cute idea!

I LOVE me a clean sink!! I have to have a clean sink all. day. long. my poor family! But if my sink isn't clean I can't wipe off counters, if I can't wipe off counters I can't vacuum, If I can't vacuum I can't dust. Wow. I'm all sorts of crazy!

I changed my goals! Haha! Instead of dressed and 'ready' by 8am... I want to just get 'ready' every day. And I also want to do something just for me so I am going to keep my finger nails painted! What else did I say I wanted to do this week? lol I should write this down. Can't wait to hear how your day went!

Don't worry Jen I have a Peking order for cleaning too. The kitchen has to be clean before I will start on any other area. Even if the rest of my house is a mess if the kitchen is sparkling I feel some peace and order is present. Love the new blog Laura!
